ABOUT REBECCA
Rebecca Newport is a painter based in London, UK, celebrated for her vibrant abstract floral paintings. Her work often incorporates collaged ceramic motifs—an homage to her parallel career as a prop stylist—and textile-inspired elements that reflect her training as a textile designer.

Her paintings can be found in homes around the world and are a favourite among interior designers who admire her distinctive, colourful approach to contemporary art. Deeply inspired by nature, Rebecca’s work draws on her love of gardening and her passion for growing prize-winning dahlias.

From an early age, Rebecca loved painting and creating patterns. Some of her fondest childhood memories are of studying the prints on clothing and wallpaper. This fascination naturally led her to study Textile Design at Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London, where her final collections were purchased by fashion houses including Calvin Klein and Guess.

After graduating, Rebecca continued to paint while working in fashion buying and, more recently, as a photographic stylist. She now lives in London with her husband and their three sons.

'I’m an artist with a love of colour and pattern. I paint with watercolours, exploring bold combinations, joyful clashes, and unexpected mixes that celebrate the beauty of imperfection. My background as a props stylist often finds its way into my work through playful depictions of ceramics, collage, and layered patterns — each piece a joyful exploration of colour and composition.'.
